Well.

Well, I have another round of testing coming up on Tuesday. I am honestly quite tired of the needle sticks, but I am pretty sure this is just the beginning. Found out today that my issue could possibly be fatty liver disease. Not good. But not the worst. Tuesday's tests will rule out another thing to prove it is this. What does this mean? It means low fat diet at age 23. No soda, alcohol, certain meds, fast food, fried food, greasy food. More fruits, veggies, whole grains etc. Good thing I was already doing a lifestyle change, cuz I HAVE to lose weight, or else...or else, who knows what could happen. I just pray that my friends and family are supportive during this time and that they help me, as I know I am going to need it.

Also, we stopped taking birth control about a month ago to let God do his thing. It is possible that the birth control was raising my liver enzymes in the first place but it's hard to say. Hopefully this gets resolved quickly because we would like to let nature take it's course, but we don't want to do that until we know I am healthy enough to do so. With that being said..

Keep praying, whoever is out there reading this.

Ugh.

Today started out pretty well. Got a call from my doctor though and that pretty much changed everything. She said my liver enzymes are elevated. Not entirely sure what that means but I know it's not good. She said no alcohol and no tylenol for a week and go back on Tuesday to retest. This is all fine but I don't drink and I don't take tylenol. Then to add to this, I have been having pain, in the location of my liver. As if finding out my enzymes were high, didn't stress me out enough. :( Now the wait begins until Tuesday for the test and Wednesday for the results. If they are still high, then it could begin a battery of tests to find out what's going on..I am TRYING to be positive as there are a million reasons why they are high, but it's a little scary to think about what it COULD be...
Pray please!

This Week.

This week I think I have done very well with my eating habits. I have realized that counting calories does NOT mean you can't have good yummy food or that you can't eat out. I have just realized if I want to eat out or eat certain things, make sure I realize before I eat it, what it contains calorie wise. It makes me aware and I ask myself if it's worth putting that many calories into my body. I am doing well with walking at LEAST 3 times a week. I want to more, but it's soo hard to find time. My total loss at this point is 4 pounds. Seems small to some, but 4 in 2 weeks, is 8 in a month.  :) it all adds up!!
I talked to my doctor today at my appointment. She said that I am def on the right track. Just to eat more yogurt....lol...but my plan to lose weight has been authorized by my doctor :) YAY I am doing something right!!
LOVES!

New Year Resolutions?

We, as a couple, have SEVERAL resoulutions for this year.
1.) Get out of debt, this means the credit card, and any other small balances we owe (including my dad)
2.) Move into a house (rental of course)
3.) Find a new car for Bill
4.) Pay down my car quite a bit, so by next year, our goal can be pay it off.
5.) Lose weight, we have both let ourselves go, and want to feel better about ourselves.

The goal I am going to focus on right now is losing weight, this blog will become our journey, including our excitement, our setbacks, and how and when we reach our goals.

We just started this last week and so far, I have lost 2 pounds, which to some is so meager, but to me, it is a big deal. Bill has lost about 4. We are doing some sort of aerobic exercise almost every night, whether it be dancing with the kinect or running on the tredmil. So far we are doing swell, but I think writing my feelings down will help. I have started using myfitnesspal.com (which I would reccomend to anyone trying to lose weight). It is helping me be accountable for what goes in my mouth. I have my family helping me as well, as we are doing a biggest loser challenge. There is a girl at work who is helping as well. We talk about what we do everyday so it holds us accountable for trying to do what we need to, to meet our goals. I have found that I am a stress eater, so I have taken away the things in my household that are bad to eat when stressed, if I want to stress eat now, there is only boring, non comforting foods there to munch out on. I have also downloaded myfitnesspal to my phone so I can add everything I eat, all day, everyday. With that being said, I am going to try to keep this updated as often as possible with our journey.
We hope you support this adventure as much as we are willing to take it.
With all our love.
